Sayonara, Sovereignty

When I was a young boy growing up on Long Island, we never locked our doors. We didn’t have air conditioning, so we used to leave the front door wide open and let the fresh air in through the screen door as we slept. No one entered the house at night. We were safe and secure. Then things began to change.

More and more stories of break-ins began to circulate and we witnessed the end of innocence and, more tragically, a sense of mutual trust. Today, every home is locked up tighter than a fortress even during the day, and many have elaborate alarm systems and surveillance apparatus. What have we come to?

Well, I am pleased to announce that those days are coming to an end. No, we’re not seeing a sort of renaissance that will enable us all to relive those days of freedom, but we are seeing the end of any form of sovereignty.

New York Governor Eliot Spitzer has issued an Executive Order that will allow illegal aliens to obtain legal drivers licenses in the state. There are sanctuary cities all across what was once America, and our own Congress refuses to put a stop to the practice. George Bush, the President of the former United States, whose sworn duty was to protect the sovereignty of this country, has been meeting with the leaders of Canada and Mexico in a plan to form the North American Union .

It would appear from all that is going on around us that what we used to call America is not going to be with us much longer. So come on kids, throw open your doors and hang a “Welcome, make yourself at home” sign above them. Think of the joy and freedom to come when the word “illegal” has no meaning whatsoever.

John Lennon mused, “Imagine no possessions…”. You can bet your bottom Amero that there will no need for them once America crumbles to the ground.

For me, it takes the sting out of aging. I look forward to being dead and buried before all of the above comes to fruition.
